The SRH was a business that concentrated solely within media, and, within that, radio is the largest element and sits at the core with eighteen analogue radio licences across the UK and Republic of Ireland. We also operate forty-three local newspapers in Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic.
The SRH was a strong company financially and have husbanded our resources carefully over the years in order to give us the ability to make strategic acquisitions, quickly if need be, in order to maximize shareholder value. Their investments in digital radio and the internet have been targeted and controlled, placing them well for the future.
All their businesses rely heavily on the creative energies and enthusiasm of those people who worked within them. It is they, and our customers, listeners, readers and shareholders, who made SRH the power that it was.
